Cirdingis deleted from wikipedia

Some time ago I added a draft article about cirdingis to wikipedia. I was too lazy to update it, and when I checked it yesterday it was not present anymore. I found the page where people discussed what to do with my entry. It is interesting to see the self editing/healing/organizing of wikipedia in action. There is hope in humanity...

Update 17.02.06: The page has been transwikied to wikibooks. Its new location is here. I can continue to work on it and find a proper place in the wiki universe.

Whenever I see all those wikis all for free for me to use -I use wikipedia almost every day- I feel joy and a little bit of guilt. I will pay my debt by contributing.

Changing Location of My Documents folder

From Microsoft Support:
1. Click Start, and then point to My Documents.
2. Right-click My Documents, and then click Properties.
3. Click the Target tab.
4. In the Target box, do one of the following:• Type the path to the folder location that you want, and then click OK. For example, D:\My Stuff.

If the folder does not exist, the Create Message dialog box is displayed. Click Yes to create the folder, and then click OK.

• Click Move, click the folder in which to store your documents, and then click OK twice.

If you need to create a new folder, click Make New Folder. Type a name for the folder, and then click OK twice.

5. In the Move Documents box, click Yes to move your documents to the new location, or click No to leave your documents in the original location.

Media Player 10 ve DVD

Media Player 10 içerisinde dvd decoderi yok. DVD oynatacaksanız decoder bulmanız gerekiyor. Normalde dvd sürücünüzle birlikte decoderin de gelmesi lazım. Eğer yoksa parasını verip indirmeniz gerek (örnek: NVIDIA PureVideo). Bilgisayarınızda decoder olup olmadığını kontrol etmek için Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility kullanabilirsiniz. Bu araçla elinizdeki decoderleri ve Media Player 10 ile uyumluluklarını görebilirsiniz.

Rezil-i 'stanbul

İstanbul'un içler acıtan rezilliğinden uzun zamandır bahsetmek istiyor ve Tevfik Fikret'in İstanbul'u yeren şiirini arıyordum. Sonunda şiiri buldum. Adı Sis. Çoğu sitede türkçeleştirilmiş hali var ama orjinalini öneririm (pek anlamasam da). Küçük bir bölüm:

Milyonla barındırdığın ecsad arasından
Kaç nâsiye vardır çıkacak pak-ü dirahşan?
Ey maderi hicranzede, ey hemser-i muğber,
Ey kimsesiz âvâre çocuklar, hele sizler...

Moderin zamanlar

Bugün babamı mesıncırda çet yaparken, annemi de leptapta spaydır soliter oynarken gördüm ya, moderin zamanlar bu olsa gerek dedim gendi gendime...

Dedem hacdan döndü

Dedem 47 gün sonra hacdan nihayet döndü. Artık o "Hacı Emin" (Aşağıdaki fotoda pek fotojenik poz vermemiş olan kişi dedem olur).


Tabii ki zemzem suyu içtik ve hurma yedik.

Tiyatroya gidiyoruz

Yarın Devlet Tiyatrolarının Şinasi Sahnesi'ndeki Kendime Kıyamam isimli oyununa gideceğiz. Konusu: Evlilik üzerine değişik düşünceleri, mizahi bir dille anlatan bir oyun. Oyunu seyrettikten sonra update ederim blogu.
