Female hormones in beer

Yesterday scientists for Health UK suggested that, considering the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer, men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.

The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoeostrogens) and drinking it makes men turn into women.

To test the theory, 100 men were fed 6 pints of beer each within a one-hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the men:

* gained weight,
* talked excessively without making sense,
* became overly emotional,
* couldn't drive,
* failed to think rationally,
* argued over nothing,
* had to sit down while urinating and
* refused to apologise when obviously wrong.

No further testing was considered necessary.

I did not know about the female hormones in beer, but beside the humour here is another fact. Men actually secrete oestrogen in a fine balance with testosterone and degrade it. But, when vast amounts of alcohol consumed, due to competitive inhibition, oestrogen level will gradually increase in blood since liver will be mainly dealing with degradation of alcohol. Which eventually causes/explains the “öpüjiiim, valla geell öpüjiim” behaviour in addition to yours (for those who do not understand this, it is a sweet, sincere and cordial phrase that drunk Turkish men utters, which means “come give me your chicks that I can show my affection” in a slimy form…)

Yav yokluğumda bu blog almış yürümüş. Espiri süpermiş. Laf aramızda her gün kadın davranış kalıplarından bir yenisini daha benimsiyorum (belki bira içmeyi sevdiğimdendir :P). Bu aralar "saatlerce manasız konuşabilme" yeteneğime takmış durumdayım. Çok rahatlatıcı. Tavsiye ederim.
